If you are detained by the police, you can be held in a temporary place of detention for up to 48 hours. As your stay there is very short, this section will not focus on the conditions in a temporary place of detention at the police department

When detained by border guards, you should be placed in special premises or a special detention centre. You must be held separately from people who have been detained for criminal proceedings.

You have the right to humane conditions in the place where you are being held, medical help, as well as the right to communicate with the outside world.
